Because of the battles short time length, it can be easily played through your free time throughout the day. Game play is split between ranked matches friendly matches.
Ranked Battles- Ranked battles are made so the user can compete against other similarly skilled players. Match making is based of the number of trophies a user has and the amount of trophies won or less is dependent on the difference of the two player’s trophy count.
Length Of Battle- The battle timer is set at 3 minutes for every match. This can be extended if at the end of this time, both players took down the same amount of towers. In this case it will go to overtime. However, if one player three crowns the other, this will result into an immediate ending of the battle.
Duration Of Overtime- If the players do have the same amount of towers down when the time runs out, they will go into overtime. Overtime in ranked battles last for one minute and the next person who takes a tower will be victorious. If by the end of this time and either players still hasn’t taken an additional tower down, the battle will cease and end in a draw.
Double Elixir- Double Elixir occurs in the last minute of battle. It also occurs the in full duration of overtime. Double elixir boosts the production of elixir from one every three seconds to one every one and a half seconds. At this time is where most decks make the most progress in attacking.
Limitations- There are no limitations for ranked battles. The lack of limitations in ranked matches show your true skill with the cards you have. This can mean going up against a lot harder and higher leveled opponents if you are very good for your level.
Friendly Battles- Friendly battles are used for competing against friends. This is mainly to see if you are better than your friends and it is also used for tournaments at the moment. Friendly battles are very similar to ranked battles.
