Double Pekka Miner Deck

BASICS: AVERAGE ELIXIR AND HOW TO USE EACH TROOP EFFICIENTLY  The average elixir cost for this deck is an even 3.6 and the following cards used are: TROOPS: USED FOR DEFENSE AND OFFENSE.  IMPORTANT TO USE THE RIGHT COUNTER FOR EACH TROOP Pekka- The pekka is your main damage dealer and tank in your pekka trifecta deck.  The pekka will also be the first troop to be deployed in your push because the pekka is very slow.  You want to place the pekka at the very back of your map so you can wait the longest amount of time before your pekka crosses the bridge.  This stall time allows you to accumulate even more elixir so you can afford your wizard and your dark prince to complete the rest of the push.  Ideally, you want to have at least one elixir collector on your side of the map down so you can get even more elixir faster.  Any extra elixir you have after placing your pekka, your wizard, and your dark prince should be either saved for using an offensive zap spell or to defend when your opponent sends a counter push.  Because the pekka is a high hit pint and high damage unit, it does have some weaknesses.  the biggest weakness to the pekka is the inferno tower.  However, with the additional speed from your dark prince and the...

10/20 Balance Update

New Balance Live! (October Twentieth) Background Here is a change log of what has been fixed, buffed, or nerffed in the recent update that happened on October Twentieth. The way we approach card balance in Clash Royale is a combination of play testing and looking at the stats – in particular, card use rates and win rates. You can expect monthly balance changes to keep game play fine tuned and as fun as possible. In this round of balance changes we’re taking a look at a popular combo: Giant + Poison (aka, “Goison”), making a significant change to the Elixir Collector and more! Giant: Hit points decreased by Five percent previous Giant change- Our didn’t pull enough power from him, especially from where it matters, so this additional tweak (in conjunction with the Poison change below) should put him in a better place overall. The change is relatively small because our aim is to reduce the strength of Giant + Poison, but not remove it as a viable combo. Poison: No longer slows movement and attack speed – Thematically Poison’s “thing” is damage over time, so we questioned whether it also needs to slow? Answer: no. This change will make Poison’s functionality clearer and reduce its ability to control an area for 10 seconds. Elixir Collector: Elixir cost increased to six (from five), Elixir gain increased to eight (from seven),...

Giant Poison Deck

BASICS: AVERAGE ELIXIR AND HOW TO USE EACH TROOP EFFICIENTLY  The average elixir cost for this deck is an even 3.6 and the following cards used are: TROOPS: USED FOR DEFENSE AND OFFENSE.  IMPORTANT TO USE THE RIGHT COUNTER FOR EACH TROOP Mini Pekka- The mini pekka is very versatile on defense and can be a treat if put on offense.  The mini pekka is considered a glass cannon, where it deals a lot of damage but have little health in comparison.   The mini pekka is great at countering high health tanks.  The mini pekka can kill an enemy hog rider in two hits and only lets the hog rider get off one shot on your tower.  Of course the mini pekka may only need one shot if you have some supporting troops defending with the mini pekka.  This will also make the enemy hog rider not even get one shot off on to your tower.  The mini pekka also kills the royal giant very efficiently.  The mini pekka, since it does so much damage, will kill the enemy royal giant in just a few hits.  This makes it hard for the royal giant to get much damage off on to your tower.  With only the mini pekka defending your tower, the royal giant may get around 500 damage off of your tower.  However, you most likely will have...

September 19 Update Information

New Balance Live! (9/19) The way we approach card balance in Clash Royale is a combination of playtesting and looking at the stats – in particular, card use rates and win rates. You can expect monthly balance changes to keep gameplay fine tuned and as fun as possible. In this round of balance changes we’re taking a look at a few underused cards: Mirror, Rage, Lightning – and some other nice little tweaks! Giant: Damage decreased by 5% – The Giant will still hit hard after this change – he has really big fists after all – we just wanted to take a little bit of power from his offensive capabilities, as his main role is to soak up damage. Rage: Elixir cost decreased to 2 (from 3), effect decreased to 30% (from 40%), duration decreased by 2sec – The Rage spell hasn’t seen much usage and is in need of a bigger change, especially with the introduction of the Lumberjack’s “free” Rage. Decreasing the Elixir cost to 2 should make Rage a really viable and exciting combo card! Lumberjack: Rage effect decreased to 30% (from 40%), Rage duration decreased by 2sec – For consistency with the Rage spell changes above. Mirror: Mirrors cards 1 level higher than its own level – We love the surprise element Mirror brings and we’ve been having a blast playtesting this new version!...

GiWiVa Deck

BACKGROUND INFORMATION This deck is leaning towards the pricey side of decks because it is above that 3.3 elixir threshold.  This is your standard deck with a tank, damage per second unit, a few supporting cards, and some supporting spell cards. BASICS: AVERAGE ELIXIR AND HOW TO USE EACH TROOP EFFICIENTLY  The average elixir cost for this deck is an even 3.6 and the following cards used are: TROOPS: USED FOR DEFENSE AND OFFENSE.  IMPORTANT TO USE THE RIGHT COUNTER FOR EACH TROOP Giant-  The giant is the first tank you unlock in the game.  It has a rarer brother called the royal giant.  However, the giant has a melee range unlike his brother.  Also, the giant is a lot stronger health point wise.  The main strategy with the giant in this deck is to spawn him in the very back of your side of the map.  This will let you regenerate some more elixir before your push gets to the enemy’s side of the bridge.  The best way to deal with a defending minion horde is to use your musketeer and the spells on them.  The zap will help you bring down the minion horde’s minions down to very little health and allow the musketeer to one shot each minion, making it a very fast killer. The best things to support your push with is with the musketeer and the...
